I was commissioned by the University of Chicago Magazine to photograph alum Michael Murphy in February in Boston for a story in their Mar./April ’15 issue. Mr. Murphy is the executive director and co-founder of Mass Design Group, an architectural firm that works to fix the ills of society with beautiful and functional design. They often build hospitals and schools in under served places like Rwanda and Haiti. It truly was a pleasure to meet such a great team of people working towards making health and learning easier for people and at the same time making works of art. As as it happened, I had a front row seat to the New England Patriots World Championship parade which passed by the firm’s offices on Boylston St. the day I visited! What a bonus!
